Divine Dental
Nancy Nielsen, Divine Dental’s Marketing Guru, wanted to rebrand Dr. Valdez’ dental practice by photographing the skilled and professional employees at two locations in Santa Fe and Las Vegas, NM., and the state of the art dental equipment and the interactions between patients and the staff. Nancy hired me to take individual portraits of the office and dental hygiene staff in the studio as well as group shots for use on social media and in advertising. We shot in the Santa Fe office, illustrating the latest in dental equipment and of Dr. V. greeting and working with patients. Then we spent 1/2 day at Dr. V.’s home photographing him as an active family man with his 3 children – horse back riding, bicycle riding, reading bedtime stories, cooking and playing games around the fireplace. Result…photos that not only tell the story of his state-of-the-art dental practice, but also of the man as a loving father and professional dentist with dynamite, experienced support staff. That year Divine Dental became #1 in Santa Fe in the local magazine annual poll.
The Ranch House
Josh Baum, proprietor and chef at The Ranch House, Santa Fe, NM, wanted to rebrand his barbeque restaurant as a fun place to dine. Alex Hannah, graphic designer at Invisible City Designs, hired me to do the photography. We pulled in 15 people and fed them while I photographed them enjoying themselves. Voila! New message: The Ranch House is delicious and fun to visit for the whole family. We also captured couples at the bar drinking and dining on appetizers, augmenting those photos with food photography styled by Lisanne Scafine. Finally, we included shots of diners on the patio and sunset shots of the restaurant’s exterior. The Ranch House ran a series of ads during the year that proved highly successful and grew the business according to plan.
Accent Vision Specialists
Dr. Dwight Thibodeux and Dr. Paul Tachau, the two optometric physicians at Accent Vision Specialists, wanted to update the photo imagery for their website to reflect their advanced facility in Santa Fe, NM. This assignment consisted of head shots of the principal staff, images of the retail eye wear selling floor, photos of staffers working with clients with the modern and technologically cutting-edge equipment and, finally, shots of customers of all ages wearing fashion eye wear in a fashion studio setting…Net result, a modernized website that truly reflects the actual company instead of using generic stock photography.
